It is often the case that the seeds of our greatest achievements are sown (unbeknown to us) during our deepest troubles or personal disasters. One of the sources in art is pain but it is pleasure that keeps one working day in, day out...

Bones, branches, sinews, overlapping swathes of colour, collage.... structures of pain and pleasure. The touch along the line - a curious affirmation in doubt.
